I have great excitement and anticipation for our first steps into our future journey – the developing Strategic Plan, our branding (our new name and logo) and the plans for the new campus in the Perth CBD.
Paramount Higher Education has been approved to be our new brand by Paramount’s governing board and TEQSA. This is our first step towards raising the bar in how we are perceived in the higher education sector and how we view ourselves as a significant player in non-university higher education. We will take all the positive qualities we are known for, such as our focus on student-centred flexible learning, and deliver this from high-quality learning institutions across Australia. We will be defined by our core values which will be the heartbeat of our Paramount community.

October 6 is our combined open day and launch of our new Perth CBD campus at 228 Adelaide Terrace. This new state-of-the-art campus will provide specifically designed clinic rooms, innovative classrooms for interactive and cutting-edge learning opportunities, Fibre1000 for webinars and online interactions, and student breakout areas where students can connect with students and lecturers on campus, relax over a hot or cold drink and have quiet time to study. The new campus is conveniently located in the Perth CBD, close to major public transport hubs. The free Perth city Red Cat bus stops right outside the front door! Experience the natural beauty of the Swan River, as well as the peaceful green spaces of Queens Gardens, Langley Park, Ozone Reserve and Point Fraser, only a few minutes’ walk from our new campus. New Interactive Online Platform Launch
Semester break is time for students to reconnect with family and friends and take a breather in readiness for the beginning of semester 2 on August 6. The PHE design team based in Melbourne have been working feverishly to migrate and update the following first year units onto the interactive online platform Brightspace. This will make online learning much more interactive, engaging and student-centred.

• Every Woman Expo 2018
Paramount College of Natural Health and the National Academy of Beauty were proud to join forces at the Every Woman Expo in Perth 15-17 June. This popular and fun event with over 250 exhibitors was very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by a diverse range of women from all over Western Australia.
Shona Scott (MUP Artist) and Vicky Madytianos (HO Student Engagement) added significant interest and flair to the Paramount booth with makeup demonstrations to promote the dual Diploma of Beauty & Makeup being offered by Pragmatic Education Group at the new Perth campus.

Another successful open day at Paramount Higher Education. CEO Dr Shona Bass presented Skye Makking-Robinson with the hamper she won from the Everywoman’s Expo. A common message from prospective students who attended the day was that they were attracted to the supportive and student-centred learning environment provided by Paramount. Our flexible study options and the state-of-the-art new campus in the Perth CBD were also popular attractions for prospective students. Our next open day will be at our new campus in the Perth CBD.

• Community Engagement (Pragmatic Education Group)
Salon Blend hosted an event to provide a pamper day to a group of women from Ozanam House, which is a part of VincentCare Victoria. Ozanam House works to support our most disadvantaged within the community. Those who attended the pamper sessions have been homeless.
Angela Butler-Girton worked with Salon Blend and some of our industry partners to make this event a success. Angela reported that ‘Our Ladies’ pampering day at Salon Blend was a great success. The clients were thrilled with the services and gifts that were provided to them. For most of these ladies, this was the first time that they had ever stepped inside of a salon, let alone had any pampering. Each person received a mini-facial, massage, manicure, pedicure, YSL perfume, Lancome skincare, Giorgio Armani lipsticks, Dermalogica products, and a gift bag from Salon First which contained a range of essentials. Kate did an amazing job of coordinating the services and food. Lidia referred two fantastic students who were professional and committed to ensuring that each person had a wonderful experience.” A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in this community event.
