Naturopathy: A holistic appraisal of one’s physical, mental & emotional state of health, thereby providing grounds for practitioners to treat using any of the following modalities- diet, lifestyle, nutritional supplements, herbal medicine, flower essences, . Diagnostic techniques may include iridology &/or the zinc taste test.
Homeopathy: A very detailed consultation allowing practitioners of homoeopathy to prescribe homoeopathic remedies for either acute complaints or according to the individual’s constitution.
Herbal: A comprehensive consultation, similar to the naturopathic style, after which the practitioner prescribes herbal medicines (tinctures, tablets, capsules, teas etc.)
Nutritional: A comprehensive consultation, similar to a naturopathic consult, with however a greater focus on diet & nutritional therapy.
Iridology: A form of diagnosis in which the markings of the iris are interpreted. Through utilising this diagnostic tool the practitioner can prescribe according to their chosen modality.

Swedish: Soothe away the stresses of daily living with a full-body relaxation massage.
Remedial: Suffering aches & pains? A firm massage which incorporates the basic massage techniques of Swedish massage with additional techniques drawn from trigger point theory, M.E.T. &/or deep tissue massage.
Deep Tissue: Not for the faint-hearted! A very deep massage which uses cross fibre friction to physically break down scar tissue & work out the most stubborn knots.
Aromatherapy: Amplify the bliss of your standard Swedish massage with the added element of essential oils. ($2.00 extra).
Reflexology: A deeply relaxing treatment which affects all aspects of the mind & body through massaging & working reflex points of the feet.
Reiki: A very relaxing treatment that uses hands-on healing to send soothing energy through the body.

Over the duration of the course, you will be required to participate in the student clinic (refer to your chosen course outline for the total number of log book hours required)*. This hands-on approach provides valuable experience in your chosen field of studies, including dispensing herbal, homoeopathic and nutritional supplements, different examination & dispensary techniques, dealing with clients in a professional manner and of course, observing and taking cases. Student clinic hours will need to be completed before graduation can take place.
*Students undertaking multiple qualifications should check with Paramount College staff regarding the number of clinic hours to complete all qualifications.
The Student Clinic is open to the public and is supervised by suitably qualified natural health practitioners. Components of your assessments will focus on your ability to correctly document client histories, treatment protocols and outcomes.
Attendance at Student Clinic is compulsory, upon successful completion of your first year modules. We believe this is an integral part of your learning experience, and are positively committed to your future success.
