This course introduces the theory and practices of classical yoga as a system of healing from the ancient texts such as Hatha Yoga, Pradipika, the Upanishads and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras - the traditional concepts of health are correlated with the findings of modern yoga scholars. In keeping with yoga as an experiential modality, each day is spent on 50% practice, 50% theory including reflection and discussion. The course aims to provide effective and proven tools for self-care and introduces useful techniques for clinicians.
