This course is a ground breaking and unique qualification, by both Australian and international standards and provides a strong basis for further study in this emerging field of knowledge. Our comprehensive course provides the graduate therapist with a range of mind body therapy treatment protocols utilising a foundation of traditional and modern scientific frameworks, including Anatomy and Physiology, Indigenous Aboriginal healing paradigms, Conventional and Holistic Counselling & Nutrition. The multicultural emphasis with attention to Indigenous Aboriginal perspectives on health and well being is a feature of this course. By applying this knowledge, graduates can guide their clients into positive health management.
Graduates will be skilled in health assessments using a foundational holistic counselling framework and then prescribing and applying mind body medicines and other holistic health approaches.
There are no additional electives required to complete the Certificate IV in Mind Body Medicine.
To complete the Diploma of Mind Body Medicine, and to satisfy the practical aspects of this course, you must also participate in a minimum of 100 log book hours. The majority of these hours will be accrued within the Student Clinic, where you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in a real environment, with the reassurance of direct supervision by qualified practitioners.
