This tactile course equips the Massage Therapist to provide basic relaxation Massage. You will gain practical experience working within a natural therapy clinic, and be able to provide basic relaxation massage techniques to patients, guiding them to a state of optimum health and well-being. This course in Massage flows naturally onto the Diploma of Remedial Massage; components of this course may also be credited towards our Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy.
Three electives are also required to be completed during the course; these include a diverse selection, such as Aromatherapy, Kinesiology, Meditation, Reflexology and Yoga (elective/short course brochures are available on request). Electives may also lead to additional qualifications, e.g. Certificate IV in Aromatherapy. We are responsive to your needs, and will be offering additional electives as we identify your keenest areas of interest; however exemptions will not be given for electives (availability of electives may vary from campus to campus).
To complete the Certificate IV in Massage, and to satisfy the practical aspects of this course, you must also participate in a minimum of 100 log book hours. Most of these hours will be accrued within the Student Clinic, where you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in a real environment, with the reassurance of direct supervision by qualified practitioners.
